Aligning financial chains with the Paris goals – supporting the private sector in transition

Banks, asset managers, institutional investors, and companies & asset owners themselves are recognizing that successfully financing the low-greenhouse gas, climate resilient transition requires scaling-up finance and investment in those actors that will be the drivers of that transition.

The event was an opportunity to present how individual and groups of financial institutions from across the financial community are assessing the alignment of counterparties and clients with the objective of supporting of the low-carbon and climate resilient transition of the private sector.

  • Panel discussion – How are financial institutions making the alignment of counterparties and activities a part of decision making? Why is transparency essential? What information is necessary to enable FI to support the private sector in transition? What role for “transition plans”? (45 min)
