1) Continuing to foster exchanges on the new frontiers of climate mainstreaming

At COP25, the Initiative aims to continue advancing on two areas of work the initiative has been focusing on in 2019:
– Management of climate-related risks
– Alignment with the objectives of the Paris Agreement

The initiative will be organising a working session bringing together representatives and members of the principal networks, initiatives and coalition of actors working on the integration of climate considerations in the financial sector to identify existing synergies and areas for further collaboration moving forward to support both increased global ambition and improved mainstreaming of climate change into the activities of financial institutions.

3) Disseminating lessons learned on emerging climate mainstreaming practice

In addition, the Supporting Institutions of the Climate Action in Financial Institutions Initiative will continue to share their experience and knowledge on the development of emerging practice. Over the two weeks, over 20 side events will present the existing and emerging practices and lessons learned in a series of events organized or co-organized by the Supporting Institutions of the Initiative.
